This is the 3rd annual songs as poetry concert that we are doing with Hungrytown, Steve Gillette and Cindy Mangson and others TBA. This is one of our FAVORITE yearly shows and can't wait to do it again. We will post more info as we get it but mark you calendars!
We are not doing this show very often anymore so hopefully you can catch this one. It is an amazing childrens show about watershed awareness done with the multi-talented Marmalade productions theater troop.

John St. Jam is a wonderful, unique venue in the middle of Saugerties, NY--a rare musical experience. It is set up with gentle lighting and superlative sound. On Sept. 11th, Fran and I and my mother Lyn Burnstine will be the lucky one-quarter of the evening's music--some of our own songs, and all of us together for some traditional family songs. It is often SRO, so get there early (door opens at 7)! The music goes from 7:30 to 10 with a refreshment break, and costs a mere $5. It is in the Dutch Arms Chapel on John St., just left off Rte.9W after it turns north in the middle of town.All the info is on their website http://www.johnstreetjam.net/
Huntington Free Summer Music Series every Thursday evening from 6:30-8PM at the gazebo. Located at the intersection of Rts. 20 & 112. Rain or Shine, performances moved inside to Stanton Hall same location in case of inclement weather. Bake sale each week provided by a local community group.
Music at the Mansion is a new summer series of concerts at the library.

This is the determining concert for those who made it into the finalist round.
On a very serious note: Our friend Denise Kaley finds herself on a path that is presenting some very big challenges. Denise has been diagnosed with lung cancer.
On Sunday, February 22nd, beginning at 1:00pm there will be a fundraiser for Denise Kaley at The Point Restaurant at the Thornewood Inn in Great Barrington, MA. This will be great gathering of positive energy along with music, food, a silent auction and raffles to help Denise.
For most of her life, Denise Kaley has given of her energy and talent as a licensed Massage Therapist and Cranial-Sacral Therapist. Denise has her own practice in Great Barrington, MA and is highly respected in the community. She has helped many people achieve health and wellness.
Due to her illness, Denise is presently without income. All of us who know Denise now take the initiative to see what we can do to help her through this difficult period. She needs financial assistance now.
Please come join us at The Point. I will be playing some of my music on this day as will Bobby Sweet and The BSweet Band, JoAnne Redding, Adam Michael Rothberg, Rob Kelly with Rob Putnam and Jeff Stevens, The BeeLine Ramblers and Kelly Hagan.

This is an exciting Folk Festival in Queens NY. The folks who run it saw Fran, Tony and I play at the Champlain Valley Folk Festival this summer. I was playing one of Fran's cigar box dulcimers in one of the workshops. They loved it and asked us to be at the festival as crafters this year. It's a great line up of musicians and you can be sure we'll be picking alot over the weekend.
We'll be there for the entire time.

We are heading south for a tour in November and will be performing for the "First Friday for Folk Music" concert series of the Savannah Folk Music Society. We are so excited to have been invited to be part of this thriving music community!
